  1. TBH, this NZ team looked tired and jaded and at no point showed the willingness to compete . Whether the IPL had role to play remains debatable. The positive news is that teams with the hunger to win will go through

  2. NZ, no excuses. Got beaten fair and square by teams that played better than you all. Its happen when you playing against teams who wanted to win for than you all. Why blame the wicket? NZ you boys to accustomed to batsmen friendly wickets like those of the IPL. Tough luck.

  3. I have to stop the guest speaker, I don't agree with him critizing the preparation of the ground.
New Zealand bowlers did very well bowling West Indies into a panic situation, but New Zealand just don't have the cricketing brain to master mind a winning strategy.
All West Indies greaters all time cricketers start their cricketing careers on those wickets, that's why West Indies are so hard to beat, even when the chips are down.
Don't blame the ground, blame the New Zealand captain for poor captain skills making decisions.
The 2 last bowlers should have bowl one over in between over 5/6 and the other 11/12 over when Windies were struggling badly, keep the 2 frontline bowlers to bowl the 19/20th over.
We talking captain skills master mind cricket strategy here.
Men with great visions becomes great leaders.

  4. Every professional player should learn to play in different conditions. No excuse for tge loss, play and adjust your batting and no when to launch. Sub continent pitches and Australia, England and New Zealand pitches are all different, so the excuse about pitches is in the west indies is rubbish to me…two teams played on the same surface. The players need to adjust ipl t/20 mode and realize they're not in India on runs spree wicket…this is a world cup competition, so play sensible and smart cricket…Well done to the west indies.

  5. It is pretty obvious that New Zealand was underprepared. Australia, without several IPL players, played practice games against WI using some coaches. Every other team had some prep games. Now, you insult WI claiming they don’t have good training pitches. Baloney! Put the blame where it lies. They were unprepared and probably overconfident.

  6. Embarrassing New Zealand cricket you were Shameful to the whole nation with both games and especially this game 80 for 8 and we let them get 149 We once again fail to put the foot down bowl Santner earlier when he’s used to bowling and bowl his full 4 overs also why didn’t we bowl out Southees 4 overs early he was on fire bowl him out it’s worth the risk. And the body language was poor not a single smile or celebration when we were bowling and West Indies bowlers have 100 energy and effort and we didn’t want it we just wanted a free holiday. The batting was embarrassing you can’t just nock it round for 1s and then play golf chips straight to fielders I think we just came for a nice game of golf on a fancy course 😂 . Williamson is a terrible t20 captain man he’s not aggressive enough he never puts they foot down they went from a score of 95 being max to getting 149 a par score put santner in as the captain and Conway man why do we persist with him as the Keeper an average 15 year old cricketer in a social cricket league could do better then him at keeping lol😂. And the fact that our players and staff blame it on the conditions and underprepared which is a poor excuse sure conditions don’t suit us but we could easily control the preparation levels maybe we could of got of the golf course and stop lazing around in a pool all day and get in the nets practicing. You can’t say a players are lacking game time I mean how much games did Afghanistan or West Indies get to prepare there players not much outside of 2 warmup games and you think tier 2 teams like USA and Uganda get much warmups.

  7. What pitch was difficult to bat ? That coach should have tried NYC pitch and then we will see his reaction. Why dont this coach and his players admit that they were not prepared for this WC and were not serious about the WC? this was the worst performance i have seen from New Zealand cricket team in recent times.

  8. I dont understand why there's this fuzz about the surfaces, other teams are also playing in these testing conditions as well. Aus Ind SA WI haven't lost a game in the tournament, they were not playing playing on batting paradises still came out on top. We were just not good enough

  9. The coach said the wicket was more up-down when New Zealand bowled. In other words, the West Indies faced worse batting conditions that New Zealand did.
It's all about confidence and execution.
The feedback from the gents on set suggests that they think it's beneath them for West Indies to win against them.
