1st Group = A1, B2, C1, D2.
2nd Group = A2, B1, C2, D1
Semi finals:
Top 2 from each group will qualify for the semis. Eventually 1st group's topper with the 2nd group's runnerup and likewise. Later on the finals.

Yes. 20 team is a very good number for both ODI and T20 world cup.

ICC should globalize cricket. Otherwise there will be only 4-5 nations in the world who could play cricket in future, if weaker teams never given chances.

Also, like football there should be world cup qualifier for every teams in cricket as well except for host and recent world cup winners.

They should make Berth A, B, C… Category where every birth has top 20 teams in each format.

Run qualifier every 4 years and top 10 teams from Birth A directly qualifies to world cup.

Next 5 will play one qualifier match against the bottom 5 of berth A and qualifies for world cup.

Next 5 loosers will play against top 5 of berth B and winners wualifies to berth A securing world cup spot and loosers will be relegated to berth B.

Sames goes to berth B and berth C and so on.

This way, stronger team will always play world cup and weaker will get chance to be in the world cup every now and then.

I know they were going to have australia and england in the same group as also india and pakistan. It is their strategy for bigger viewership

ICC really should give more hosting to newer nations and raise the numbers to 24. It's about time ICC takes a break from big 3 from hosting for ten years at least.

The very first thing in any group draw of ICC event is to make sure that India and Pakistan can play as many matches as possible,

So always keep those 2 in same group with some weak teams to beat so they can both advance to playoffs and a potential final can take place between those two ,

Because everyone has sold their soul and honesty for money and dancing like a hooker so more money is thrown at them
