It's a clear cheating by the host team US and ICC:
1. US given a chance to directly play in WC instead of first winning pre WC
2. They already fixed super 8 matches as per US benefits even before the start of WC.
3. Even venues were not fixed before the start of WC and it may change as per Host country and ICC. Only group stage matches were fixed and not super 8 or semi final.

They are trying their best to eliminate the best teams by either fixing their matches with another best team like Aus vs Ind, or by specifically choosing the pitch (stadium) dynamically as per the discomfortability of the best teams.
Note that stadiums are fixed as per match number but it will be decided by host and icc that which 2 teams will play which match number of super8 and semi-final. Until then its TBC.
